PowrSync Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PowrSync iOS application ("the app", "the service"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The app is published by Anh Ly ("we", "our"). Contact: support@lya3hc.site.

1. The service

PowrSync lets two or more iOS devices share battery information. Each device runs in one of two roles:

• Slave — uploads its own battery level, charging state, and timestamp to our backend so paired Masters can see it.
• Master — sees the battery levels of one or more paired Slaves and can request an immediate update.

A "pair" is created when a Master scans a Slave's in-app QR code. Pairing is consensual: nothing happens without the Slave generating the QR code and the Master scanning it on the same physical device. Either side can unpair at any time from inside the app.

The service is provided as-is and on a best-effort basis. Battery readings are sampled by iOS and may be delayed, missing, or out-of-date if a device is offline, asleep, or has disabled background activity.

PowrSync is free to download and use with a basic set of features. Optional paid subscriptions unlock higher device limits and additional alerts (low-battery, fully-charged, and offline). See Section 8 for subscription terms.

2. Account

You must create an account with a valid email address and password to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree that the information you provide is accurate. You may not share an account with another person; create one account per user.

You must be at least 13 years old to use PowrSync. The app is not directed to children under 13.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except as expressly permitted by applicable law.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the app.
• Use the app to harass, monitor, stalk, or otherwise harm any person without their knowledge and consent. The pairing system requires the Slave to display a QR code on the device, so all monitoring is consensual at the moment of pairing — do not use social engineering or coercion to bypass that consent.
• Use automated means to access the service (scripts, bots, scrapers) other than as Apple's iOS allows.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, our backend, or the underlying AWS infrastructure.
• Use the app to violate any law or regulation.
• Send spam, malicious code, or excessive requests designed to degrade the service for others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

4. Pairing consent

Pairing requires both physical access to the Slave device (to read its QR code) and a deliberate scan by the Master. You agree that you will only pair with devices belonging to people who have given you informed permission, and you will not coerce, deceive, or pressure anyone into pairing.

A paired Master can see the Slave's battery level, charging state, and how long ago the reading was taken. A Master can also push a "request battery upload" silent push to the Slave. A Master cannot see your location, contacts, photos, messages, or any data other than battery information. A Master cannot remotely control or unlock the Slave.

Either side can unpair at any time from inside the app. After unpairing, the other side stops receiving updates immediately.

5. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we handle it. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

6. Push notifications

The app uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for silent, background-only pushes between paired devices. You can revoke push permission anytime in iOS Settings; the app remains functional without it (with reduced refresh frequency).

7. Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings -> Account -> Delete Account. Deletion immediately and irreversibly removes your account and all data associated with it on our servers, including device records, pair records, battery readings, and push endpoints. We do not keep backups of deleted accounts.

8. Subscriptions and payments

PowrSync is free to download and includes a basic feature set at no cost. We also offer optional paid subscriptions that unlock higher device limits and additional alert features. The tiers available, the features and device limits included in each, and the price of each plan are shown on the in-app upgrade screen before you purchase. Plans and their limits may change over time; the current offer always governs at the time of purchase.

Auto-renewable subscriptions. Paid plans are sold as auto-renewable subscriptions with a monthly or yearly billing period, through Apple's In-App Purchase. Before you buy, the app and your App Store account show the subscription title, the length of the subscription period, and the price (including the price per period). By subscribing you agree to the following:

• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Renewal charge. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Managing your subscription. You can view, manage, or turn off auto-renewal at any time after purchase in your Apple Account settings in the App Store. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• No partial refund. Turning off auto-renewal stops the next charge but does not refund the current period. You cannot cancel an active subscription mid-period. Refunds, where they apply, are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, not by us.

Who you pay. All charges, renewals, and refunds for in-app subscriptions are processed by Apple, not by us. We never receive or store your payment-card details. Your purchase is also governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions between you and Apple.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices. If a price increase would affect your subscription, Apple will notify you and, where required, obtain your consent before the increase takes effect, in accordance with App Store rules. A price change never applies retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

Lapse and downgrade. If your subscription expires, is cancelled, or you move to a lower tier, your account reverts to the free-tier limits. We do not delete data you created while subscribed, but features and device limits beyond the free tier stop being available until you subscribe again.

No free trial. We do not currently offer a free trial. If we introduce one in the future, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, as required by Apple.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its source code, design, content, trademarks, and logos are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, solely for your personal use and subject to Apple's Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

You retain ownership of the display name you choose for your device. By submitting a display name you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it to your paired devices.

10. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and Anh Ly, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.

You acknowledge:

1. License scope. Your license is limited to use of the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Apple Usage Rules.
2. Maintenance and support. We — not Apple — are solely responsible for any maintenance and support of the app. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services.
3. Warranty. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility.
4. Product claims. We — not Apple — are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
5. Intellectual property claims. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we — not Apple — will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
6. Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
7. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

11. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• Battery readings will be accurate, complete, or timely.
• The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
• Push notifications will be delivered with any specific latency.
• The service will be free of bugs or security defects.

PowrSync is not a safety device. Do not rely on it for emergency, medical, or safety-critical use. Always charge your devices independently of what PowrSync reports.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the app.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will not exceed the total amount of subscription fees you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim, or, if you paid nothing in that period, USD 10.

13. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. You may permanently delete your account in-app (Settings -> Account -> Delete Account). Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an auto-renewable subscription — manage that in your Apple Account settings (see Section 8).

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the service is no longer commercially reasonable. On termination, sections 5 (Privacy), 8 (Subscriptions and payments), 9 (Intellectual property), 10 (Apple-specific terms), 11 (Disclaimers), 12 (Limitation of liability), 14 (Governing law), and 16 (General) survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Vietnam for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app, except where prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law in your country of residence.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the app at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the app after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the app and may delete your account in-app.

16. General

If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that part will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the rest of the Terms remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app.
